Solo eBiking adventures are a blast. They leave you feeling independent, free, and excited about what the road ahead has in store. But there's something to be said about adventuring with a partner and conquering the road ahead together. 

It can sometimes be difficult to achieve identical rides to your partner while riding different Lectric eBike models, however, due to various programming upgrades such as Lectric PWR™. Keep riding to learn more! 

 

The Evolution of the XP™

The Lectric XP is known to be "America's favorite eBike" with over 200,000 on the roads. It has stood strong for Lectric eBikes since our launch in 2019, and is now on its third reinvention. 

The Lectric XP has always maintained incredible features including a 500W motor, fully foldable aluminum frame, 48V battery, and awesome riding experience. With each new version of the XP, however, we've been thoughtful about adding components that would amplify the riding experience even further. 

With the Lectric XP 2.0, we added front suspension, greater accessory compatibility, and a stellar new paint job. With the Lectric XP 3.0, we added hydraulic brakes, passenger capabilities, and a sick new feature called Lectric PWR™. 

Added features in newer models make the riding experience a little bit different for each generation of XP eBike. Most notably, Lectric PWR™ in the XP 3.0, XPedition, and XP Trike makes the riding experience smoother, and more controlled. This can make it challenging, however, to achieve the same ride as someone riding an older model.

Here's what you can do to make the riding experience of an XP 3.0, or any eBike with Lectric PWR™, similar to that of an XP 1.0 or 2.0 eBike! 

 

Riding an XP™ 1.0 or 2.0 Alongside an XP™ 3.0 or XPedition with Lectric PWR™

If you're trying to ride an XP™ 1.0 or 2.0 alongside an XP™ 3.0, XP Trike, or XPedition with Lectric PWR™, there are two good options to consider while trying to achieve a similar ride. Both options will require some adjustment as eBikes without Lectric PWR™ will accelerate faster in certain PAS levels, and each level's speed is slightly different.
 
Note: Both of these options assume that the eBikes' top speed has been unlocked, which is very easy to do in your system settings! 
 
Option 1: Place the eBike without Lectric PWR™ in PAS 2 and the eBike with Lectric PWR™ in PAS 1. With these settings, the rider with Lectric PWR™ may want to start in a higher PAS setting to get up to speed faster, and then move back to PAS 1. Once complete, both riders should be cruising at about 8mph.
  • Rider with PWR may want to start in a higher PAS setting to get up to speed faster then move back to PAS 1, both riders should be cruising at about 8mph 
Option 2:  Place the eBike without Lectric PWR™ in PAS 3 and the eBike with Lectric PWR™ in PAS 2.
  • Rider with PWR may want to start in a higher PAS setting to get up to speed faster then move back to PAS 1, both riders should be cruising at about 14/15mph
